There is so much here that i could like. more than is in the game. I really like the character art. but there are only 2 CGs. i really like the tarot based card game concept. but there just isnt really any player agency over what happens.

i dont have much to say on this one just because there isnt really anything to talk about. the only deficiencies are just lack of game and maybe some communication on how the game works. i just hope the developer comes back to work on this since i think theres a lot of potential here.

Since there isnt any information on how the game works on either the itch page or in game, heres a quick crash course: each card has a cost shown in yellow in the top right of its label when you hover over it. costs from cards you play gets added to your labor points in the top left. when you reach or exceed your maximum (9 by default) the game ends. cards with a multiplier ADD that multiplier, it never brings it lower (x0.25 multiplier will increase the current mult by 0.25). cards with two numbers seperated by a slash will choose a random number between them (+10 / +100 Growth adds between 10 and 100 to your score). Base growth numbers get multiplied by the current multiplier, then added to the score.

There are 2 tiers of rarity beyond the base grey cards: blue & gold. these are pretty much universally better than any of the base cards. they always have 0 cost and can be an order of magnitude more effective than base cards. The strat i found was to always pick 0 cost cards if i can (grab the spirit, it has almost no score value but essentially acts as a reroll since its 0 cost), grab the sun if its there and there are no 0 costs, otherwise i use a reroll. then just grab any rare cards as they show up and hopefully they keep you afloat for a while. your mult will reach 4-5+ so any time you end up taking score it will be worth a ton.

I made it to just over 15k after a couple runs.
